IHBC reminder: thefts consultation (& recent heritage crime)

IHBC Members are reminded that the deadline for responding to the Sentencing Council consultation on theft sentencing (which make specific reference to heritage theft) is 26 June.

Further examples of heritage theft have also been reported in the news recently, including damage to a listed church in Dundee, Derbyshire Police appealing for witnesses in connection with two (potentially linked) thefts in the Hatherage area, and Northumbria Police successfully identifying the culprit of recent prehistoric rock art graffiti.
