Nominations open for 2021 New Year Honours List: Closing 24 April

logoThe Honours Team at DCMS seeks nominations for 2021, with a simplified application form on offer to assist the process, and a closing date 24 April.

DCMS writes:

I am writing to seek your help in identifying potential candidates from within your sector for the 2021 New Year Honours list.

It takes a wide range of extraordinary people across the UK to make our sectors the great success that they are. We are heavily reliant on the continued support of organisations like yours to help us ensure that the efforts of these people are rewarded and celebrated.

We want to ensure that our lists reflect the diversity of today’s society and we greatly  appreciate the continued efforts being made to increase the number of nominations from underrepresented communities (e.g. women and black and minority ethnic [BME] candidates). The only way  to ensure that female and BME candidates are fully represented on any honours list is for us to continue to receive relevant nominations.

If you would like to nominate someone please complete the attached citation form and submit it to honours@culture.gov.uk by Friday 24 April 2020. You will note that the nomination form remains the same as that which was trialled last round. Feedback on this from the Queen’s Birthday 2020 round was positive with many of you suggesting this simplified form was easier to complete.

The DCMS Honours Team are on hand to answer any queries you may have on any aspect of the honours process at honours culture.gov.uk
