IHBC is ‘on display’ at the STBA-SPAB Conference – 11 June 2019, London

flyerThe IHBC will host a stand at the joint Sustainable Traditional Buildings Alliance (STBA) SPAB conference on 11 June, on ‘The Sustainability of Traditional Buildings’, which will present the latest developments in policy, training, research, case studies and practical applications with prices starting at £90+VAT for IHBC members.

STBA-SPAB writes:

The conference will start by exploring how emerging retrofit policy will impact the traditional building stock, with presentations from representatives of UK Government, Welsh Government and Historic Environment Scotland.

Practical solutions are at the heart of SPAB and STBA’s approach, so we will then hear from a variety of insulating render systems so that delegates can learn more about the thermal and moisture properties of the best available systems

The day will conclude with a presentation from UCL on how heritage values among the general public affect the decision-making process when domestic buildings are refurbished, an important subject which has had insufficient attention to date. Our normal question & answer session chaired by Douglas Kent of the SPAB will bring the conference to a close.
