websiteHeritage Trust Network (HTN) has announced its new partnership with Charity Finance Group (CFG), to help its 250+ members across the UK ‘demonstrate their impact and strengthen their strategic financial management’.

HTN and CFG write:

… this new partnership brings over 250 members of the Heritage Trust Network across the UK into the Charity Finance Group network, supporting each and every member organisation to demonstrate their impact and strengthen their strategic financial management…

Broadening third sector engagement with built heritage, from business hubs to community pubs, and museums to sports facilities, highlights the need for effective financial management and governance in successful business planning and sustainability. These charities and social enterprises deliver vital regeneration, social inclusion and community cohesion.

Within an increasingly challenging funding environment, effective financial management is vital to delivering well-informed business decisions. This partnership will enable HTN members to access knowledge from CFG’s established network of charities and corporate members, supporting members on the journey towards improving their financial management and governance. At the same time, HTN members will share their diverse experiences with the rest of the charity sector, to provide key learning for others.

Liz Bates, Chair of Heritage Trust Network, said: ‘Our members across the UK, as a grass-roots community, deliver an incredible range of regeneration projects giving heritage at risk new lease of life. Ranging from national organisations to start-up community groups, members will enjoy new training opportunities in to make every penny go further and provide greater certainty for the management of assets in years to come.’…

… Heritage Trust Network members can now access the following CFG member benefits:

  • Discounts: access to member rate for events and training
  • News: charity finance news and updates in a monthly email
  • Events: speaking opportunities at CFG events
  • Branding: co-branding on relevant briefings and publications
  • Voice: collaboration on relevant key policy areas
