BRE Group has appointed a new Group Chief Executive, Gillian Charlesworth, currently a member of the Global Executive team of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), to succeed Niall Trafford.

Gillian Charlesworth, currently a member of the Global Executive team of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), will take up her new role in May 2019. Gillian will bring extensive experience as a leader, in both the UK and internationally, to the role. She is highly respected in her field and familiar with many of BRE’s existing clients and business activities. Her prior experience and leadership skills will be an important addition to BRE.
Gillian will succeed Niall Trafford. The BRE Group Board and Trustees are hugely appreciative of Niall’s commitment, energy and passion for the success of BRE. Niall has indicated that he plans to move in due course to further develop his own career, building on the experience in various roles at BRE over the past 10 years. This has included being Group Chief Operating Officer and since May 2018 Acting Chief Executive. His leadership over this period has been critical to the ongoing success and expansion of BRE including our international activities in the US and China, in addition to being the driving force in establishing BRE’s digital presence.
