You will enjoy outstanding professional development and career opportunities in a unique role that combines a personal approach with diverse experience.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Your Impact:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To have an impact in the role you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct site specific historical and policy research<\/li>\n<li>Identify site specific heritage planning constraints<\/li>\n<li>Undertake appraisals of heritage significance, impact assessments and appeal statements<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and submit planning\/listed building consent applications<\/li>\n<li>Prepare fee proposals and tender submissions<\/li>\n<li>Develop client relationships<\/li>\n<li>Support the Heritage team as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About You:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable individual, ideally with private sector experience or a clear ability to transition into that environment. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong report writing capability, alongside a keen interest in business development and networking. You will be personable, professional, and driven, demonstrating ambition and a proactive, enthusiastic approach in everything you do, while effectively managing your own time and workload.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills and Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a relevant first degree and\/or post-graduate qualification in historic environment conservation, architectural history, building conservation or similar<\/li>\n<li>Chartered status with\u00a0CIfA, RTPI or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Have accredited IHBC membership<\/li>\n<li>Be committed to continuing their professional development with a willingness to learn and progress<\/li>\n<li>Be proficient with Microsoft packages<\/li>\n<li>Have excellent team-working skills<\/li>\n<li>Be commercially minded<\/li>\n<li>Have sound technical knowledge of heritage planning policy, legislation and best practice guidance<\/li>\n<li>Have experience of appraising heritage significance and undertaking impact assessments<\/li>\n<li>Hold a full UK driving licence and are willing to travel nationally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why Join Us:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We put people first:\u00a0We&#8217;re proud of our friendly, inclusive and collaborative environment where everyone feels valued and driven to succeed.<\/li>\n<li>We are driven to achieve:\u00a0Named in the top 50 companies to work by Glassdoor 2025.
