This is a full-time, permanent post with starting salary of \u00a346,847 – \u00a353,035 per year.<\/p>\n

We are seeking an ambitious and committed professional to take on the role of Senior Project Officer for Aberdeen City Heritage Trust. With a passion for heritage, you will be tasked with developing and delivering on our five-year strategy for growth, working in support of the care and maintenance of Aberdeen’s historic built environment. The successful candidate will work widely with stakeholders, community groups, heritage and construction professionals and liaise with Aberdeen City Council Conservation team.<\/p>\n

An accredited member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) would be desirable.<\/p>\n

About Us:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aberdeen City Heritage Trust was founded in 2004 and is one of eight such Trusts representing each city in Scotland. The Trust and its Senior Project Officer are hosted by Aberdeen City Council which provides the Senior Project Officer post, accommodation and other services to the Trust. Our principal funding source is Historic Environment Scotland.<\/p>\n

The Trust\u2019s principal financial activity since 2005 has been providing Building Repair Grants and, more recently, Community Heritage Grants in support of the repair and interpretation of the historic built environment.\u00a0 This investment has supported skills, jobs, individuals and businesses and ensured that properties are better understood, in better condition and function more efficiently. Over 280 building units across Aberdeen have had repairs carried out to a high standard, many of which are tenements; equating to approaching 500 individual owners supported. In recent years Trust geographical focus has augmented delivery of the Aberdeen City Centre Masterplan.<\/p>\n

The Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Aberdeen City Heritage Trust provides grants schemes and other projects to assist in the conservation, enhancement and promotion of the historic fabric of the Aberdeen.\u00a0 The Project Officer will carry out management of the Trust process and monitor grant applications, overseeing its grants scheme and other projects and promoting the aims of the Trust and the historic built environment of Aberdeen City. This will include promoting and monitoring projects and delivering the reporting requirements including risk management. The role has line management responsibility for two ACHT employees.<\/p>\n
