Argyll and Bute Council: Helensburgh CARS Project Officer

£35,987 – £39,363 (LGE 11)
Full Time (35 hrs pw)
5 year contract (31st March 2026)
Location – Helensburgh

Helensburgh Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS) is a £2M+ heritage-led partnership project between Argyll and Bute Council and Historic Environment Scotland.

This post offers an exciting job opportunity. The key role of the post holder will be to project manage, and fully deliver the Helensburgh CARS over a period of 5 years. This will involve working closely with building owners, the wider community and key partners to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.

The project focusses on Helensburgh town centre and in particular part of the principal shopping streets of West Clyde Street, and Sinclair Street and includes funding towards shopfront repairs as well as the comprehensive restoration of four priority buildings. Ideally the postholder will be experienced with working on historic environment projects of a similar nature and in working with partners and community organisations.
