We are looking for an inspiring, motivated team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude to promote the conservation and enhancement of the District’s historic environment on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.
Harrogate is a beautiful district offering a superb quality of life with a strong local economy and unrivalled natural environment. We have a rich and diverse historic fabric that includes amongst its many assets a World Heritage Site. Our district is both urban and rural in nature, having large, sparsely populated areas alongside the major urban settlements. In short, this is a good place to live and work.
You will have post qualification experience in building conservation and planning and be able to evaluate the special character of historic places and the significance of heritage assets. As part of a friendly and dedicated Policy & Place team you will be able to make effective decisions, build strong working relationships and be driven to achieve challenging objectives.
Benefits of working here include flexible and agile working, options to buy additional leave, leisure facility discounts and the option to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
For an informal discussion, please call Tracey Rathmell on 01423 500600 (Ext 56588) or Emma Gibbens on 01423 500600 Ext 58388.
Closing Date: 19 July 2020 (midnight)
Interview Date: 30 July 2020
