Locus Consulting is an award-winning heritage consultancy based in Nottingham. Working throughout the U.K. we provide advice to an extensive range of public, charitable and private clients.
Due to an expanding portfolio of high-profile public and private sector projects we are seeking to recruit two heritage consultants at junior and principal levels.
Successful applicants will have proven expertise in planning and developing with heritage assets. You will have a working knowledge with the prevailing framework of legislation, policy and guidance associated with the historic environment. A capable member of development teams, you will have strong mediation and communication skills, able to provide professional consultancy to a commercial client base.
With a related degree and demonstrable experience in the sector, you will have one or more developed skills in strategic heritage management, historic buildings, architectural design and/or the setting of heritage assets. We are particularly keen to receive applications from individuals with experience in working with historic buildings. An awareness of the archaeological resource is welcomed, but not essential in this instance.
The roles will involve working closely with the Director and our team of consultants. Alongside your role in development projects you will be involved in other core service areas including training, research, strategy and community projects. The roles will require travel and the occasional overnight stay. Experienced candidates may be afforded management responsibilities.
The posts will suit aspiring and commercially aware heritage professionals with an appetite to promote the historic environment’s role in sustainable place-shaping. We’re committed to your career at Locus, and everyone is encouraged to pursue their own CPD and seek professional accreditation.
