logos£15,683 p.a. plus non-contributory pension
17.5 hrs pw, permanent
Based in central Worcester

We are committed to making our church buildings fit for purpose as a spiritual and community resource as places for mission and worship.  In order to assist us with this we are looking to recruit a permanent, part time Assistant Church Buildings Officer.

The job holder will work closely with the Church Buildings’ Officer to support church communities to understand, maintain and make best use of church buildings, churchyards and other buildings in their care within the context of the diocesan Kingdom People vision.

Although there is a need to be empathetic to the care and conservation of church buildings, the role does not in itself require specific expertise in buildings but rather skill in leadership, administration and management. This calls for well-developed inter-personal skills particularly attuned to dealing with parish representatives and their professional advisers.  The ability to work independently in handling a diverse workload and in keeping to deadlines is also essential.
