We are looking for an enthusiastic & capable graduate of a built environment discipline (preferably in planning, conservation, architecture or surveying) to join our Regeneration Service. The post is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the Lower Kirkgate Townscape Heritage Initiative.

You will join our diverse professional team, which includes officers skilled in the regeneration, conservation, housing and planning disciplines. Regeneration is part of the Asset Management & Regeneration Service, which includes Asset Management, Land & Property, Projects and Programmes and HS2 Station Development who advise and lead the Council and its partners on development issues in the city.

You will work on helping to secure heritage-led regeneration in the Lower Kirkgate area of Leeds city centre, generating creative ideas to revitalise and communicate the transformation of Leeds’ most important street. Opportunities to work on other heritage based projects also exist.

You should be qualified at degree level (preferably in planning, conservation, architecture or surveying) with a strong interest in regeneration, heritage and sustainability in the built environment.

You will be literate in the standard MS Office software, and be able to communicate well.
