To provide advice to the development management process, and to the public via the pre-application process, in order to conserve and enhance the built environment of Medway.
To research, compile, draft and/ or commission work on Conservation policy and on funding bids in order to help conserve the historic environment.
To provide a professional, cost-effective service that meets legal and policy requirements and is transparent and accessible to customers.
To contribute to departmental projects as required and develop cross directorate working
