Kay Pilsbury Thomas Architects: Historic Building Architect, Architectural Assistant, Technologist

logo£ Salary Negotiable
Permanent, full-time only
Location: Essex/Cambridgeshire border

We are on the search for an enthusiastic and experienced ARB/RIBA Architect, Architectural Assistant or CIAT Technologist/Technician who will join our friendly and close knit team here at Kay Pilsbury Thomas Architects.

We are looking for a designer, who can work with our clients and join the team here to work on a range of listed building projects from survey to completion on-site. Having experience and a good working knowledge of designing construction details and building regulation drawings for domestic extensions or house renovations is key to the role.

We work predominantly with the conservation and adaptation of listed and historic buildings and are on the search to find someone with the same passion and understanding of old buildings and their construction and use.

If you have attended historic building lectures/courses and have experience of working on projects to old houses/structures, this is exactly what we are hoping to find. IHBC Membership or Building Conservation Post-grads are nice to see but not essential.

We work in a converted thatched barn in a delightful rural location so you will need your own car to be able to get around.

This position is available immediately and will be five days a week, but we can usually negotiate on hours to suit commitments/circumstances.

Salary will be commensurate with your experience.

If this sounds like you, please send your CV to peter@kpt.co.uk with a brief email on why you would like the job and what salary you are expecting.
