We are a rural district, close to London, with a range of historic market towns and villages. We have 42 Conservation Areas and over 3,000 Listed Buildings.

The Council offices are located in the historic county town of Hertford, close to the town centre. The council is maximising the digital delivery of its services, supporting flexible working solutions for all staff. The Council is committed to the professional development of its staff funding in-house and external learning and development opportunities. We invest in our staff at East Herts.

Assistant Conservation and Urban Design Officer – this is a trainee role providing the opportunity to gain experience in conservation and urban design work.
