Enhanced services for HESPR members now include a map-based listing of locations of HESPR Designated Service Advisers (DSAs), the lead overseers of service standards. A new All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), dedicated to investigating and promoting conservation in line with the IHBC’s ambitions, should also be in play, under the title ‘Conservation, People and Places’. Our ‘Council+’ initiative continues with the spring event in London on 23 April and will be led by member volunteers from new generations. The new dedicated charity fund, the ‘IHBC’s CREATIVE Conservation Fund’, intimated in our October Eletter, should be formally launched at the Brighton School in June. The IHBC’s local authority capacity survey is being re-booted as a ‘pan-UK and beyond’ research- led operation. Continuing the upgrade of our CPD support, a regular ‘CPD Update’ should be a familiar item in your digital mailbox. Updating and extending the reach of our ‘Caring for your home’ web resource, we are planning more substantial ties to our ConservationWiki.
