The IHBC is continuing its review of Branch needs and priorities with a Committee-led survey out now, and thanks the Branches that have submitted responses to date – East Midlands; Wales; Yorkshire; South East; West Midlands and South – while encouraging more Committee responses with an extended deadline of 31 August.
Branch Support Officer Carla Pianese summarises the findings to date as follows:
All the findings are being collected and it’s very interesting to see the diversity and commitments of our Branches across the different regions, but also sharing similar challenges.
While there are common challenges such as geography and capacity, most of our respondents are interested in promoting IHBC standards and some Branches have already started contacting IHBC’s LETS Officer Kate Kendall for support on membership application support seminars.
There is also a great interest in social media to promote Branch events and getting the message across the wider sector and this is one of the areas we will focus on.
It would be great to see the big picture of our Branches and start identifying the most suitable support we can make, but we can do so only if you let us know about your needs and priorities.
The results will be discussed at the next F&R+ on 6 September so there is still time to have your committee arrange to fill in the survey!
IHBC’s Support Officer Carla Pianese has already emailed the remaining Branches with the survey so please send it by 31 August 2017. If you are on holiday or unable to send it by then, please let Carla know.
