Heritage trust network writes:

‘We are delighted to announce that booking is now open for ‘Inspiring Heritage for All’, Heritage Trust Network’s annual national conference on 3-4 October 2017, sponsored by the Architectural Heritage Fund.

We are heading to Hull, this year’s City of Culture, for a jam-packed programme of fantastic speakers, workshops, advisory sessions, and a walking tour of Hull’s old town in collaboration with the Yorkshire IHBC.

Join us the day before conference even starts on a Heritage Trust Network road trip in South Yorkshire, where we have arranged three fascinating and varied study visits along with coach transport to Hull.’

The theme of day one is ‘Inclusive heritage, welcoming diversity’ and we will explore what diversity means for the built heritage sector. Our speakers will offer strategic direction about ways heritage organisations can build inclusion and access into their projects, and you’ll hear inspiring practical case studies about projects and organisations who are delivering inclusive community engagement practice with a wide range of different audiences.

On day two, our theme is Place-led heritage schemes and our speakers will be talking about the variety of current place-led heritage schemes across the UK and their approaches to tackling economic decline and empowering communities. We will think about what place-making means, partnership-working between building preservation trusts and local authorities, and hear about how communities themselves approach regeneration in the place they call home.

As usual, we keep our conference rates as low as we can for delegates:

HTN / IHBC members: £45 single day/£70 both days. Additional delegates from the same organisation £30/£55

Non-members: £60 single day/£100 both days

Additional study visit: £25. Subject to minimum number of bookings.
