The proceedings of the Second International Conference on Energy Efficiency and Comfort in Historic Buildings (EECHB 2016), referred to in IHBC’s recent ‘Green Retrofit’ issue of Context, are available to download.
The Conference took place in Brussels on 19-21 October 2016. International experts and stakeholders were invited to share the latest developments and experiences for improving the energy efficiency and comfort of historic buildings while preserving their historic character, inherent values and integrity.
The conference followed six themes related to the optimisation of historic buildings:
- boundaries and obstacles
- using and improving energy models
- training and education
- interventions related to systems and indoor climate, and materials
- monitoring and feedback
- governance issues.
