The 2016 Annual School’s Thursday tours visited different sites in Worcester and considered how conservation and heritage can been seen in the city today, so you were there or not, you can reflect on the experience through write-ups in Context, as you ask yourself ‘Can I afford to miss Manchester 2017’.
IHBC Director Sean O’Reilly said: ‘As booking is now opened for the 2017 School in Manchester, on Historic Transport infrastructure, it is worth reminding yourself of the many benefits of the Full School tours by referring back to the 2016 tours as reported by members in Context.’
‘So whether you are new to the IHBC, or have not availed of a Full School place or bursary, or you just want to whet your appetite for the kinds of networking on offer at our Schools, have a look at the Thursday reports from last year and ask yourself, not ‘Can I afford Manchester 2017?’, but ‘Can I afford to miss it?’.
The write-ups of the Thursday tours cover:
- ‘Worcester’s former hospital and The Hive’ by Elizabeth Campbell
- ‘Worcester Cathedral workshop, Edgar Tower and Gueston Hall’ by Chris Woods, Rosamund Worrall and Kristina Williamson
